It’s hard to believe that we’re at the tail end of October and the holiday season is right around the corner. Unlike other parts of the country where fall means breaking out the hats and mittens, for us Phoenicians autumn means the beginning of a few months of pristine weather. Phoenix in fall is a beautiful time to enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking our many beautiful trails, or enjoying festivities like art fairs and light shows. Although we love the money we save on our energy costs over the summer (thanks to solar screens), we at CC Sunscreens are as excited as anyone about the changing season. We’ve compiled this list of some of the best activities happening around the valley this autumn.

November 4th – Local First Arizona Fall Fest

Whether a proud native, a recent resident or just visiting for the weekend, there is something for everyone at this uniquely Arizona event. The event exclusively showcases native Arizonian artists, musicians and businesses. Attendees can expect about 200 local vendors, food samples from tasty AZ restaurants and food trucks, as well as Arizona grown wine, beer and spirits. Best of all, the event is family friendly and free for all. The Local First Arizona Fall Fest will take place in downtown Phoenix.

November 24th – January 6th – Glendale Glitters

While most Phoenicians are probably familiar with ZooLights, lesser-known Glendale Glitters is also a spectacular show. The stunning display boasts over 1.5 million lights stretched across 16 blocks in Historic Downtown Glendale. The light show is romantic for couples as they stroll under the twinkling trees sipping their hot chocolate, as well as entertaining for the entire family. Although Glendale Glitters is absolutely stunning – one of the reasons it truly rivals ZooLights is it’s cost of admission: free. Don’t miss out on this awesome event!
